Workshops and Teaching

IMG_2979.jpg

I continue to deliver workshops and classes to a range of establishments - whether they be full-time private and comprehensive schools, vocational performing arts colleges, or part-time performing arts schools.

I have taught regularly with Cornerstone Arts Centre, Skipz Productions CIC, and Kings College Dance Society.

I have delivered one-off sessions at: Elmhurst Ballet School, Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA, in association with BRIT School), Stagecoach branches, Art Lab at Dean Clough, Middlesex University and Middlesex University Dance Society, Edgbaston High School for Girls, Dance Ireland (Dublin), Chater Dance Academy, Cranmore Infant School, Weddington Primary School, Elevation School of Performing Arts (Co. Wicklow, Ireland), as well as public workshops in Henley-on-Thames.

I have also previously been a teaching assistant for the Royal Opera House's Monday Moves classes, a program specifically designed for partially and fully-blind participants (directed by David Pickering CBE), and have assisted in the delivery of the Raising Aspirations and Primary Partnerships outreach programs at Middlesex University (directed by April Brown)

Harry and Eirini (Papantoniou, co-facilitator) delivered a fabulous contemporary workshop for our students. Harry was warm and engaging to the students which enabled them to feel comfortable in this new form of dance .  They performed two different routines that were of a superb standard.   My students thoroughly enjoyed their time with Harry and Eirini and look forward to a return visit.

For the workshops I facilitate, I usually suggest the length of the workshop to be at least an hour and a half. The material of the workshop usually includes a movement / technique warm-up, followed by a creative session based on a current or recent creative process I have been through - however this can be altered to your needs / wishes.

I pride myself on being able to cater for participants of all ways of life, ages and abilities and hopefully make an environment which is fun, enjoyable and informative for all.
